Yes, the Amsterdam Dakar Challenge is about adventure…but also about charity. The teams collect money to allow girls to go to school, because they often drop out of school due to a lack of funding. Girls' education has been proven effective for the development of a country! Our teams also want to help make solar energy available in rural villages. Villages that are not connected to the energy grid. Thanks to a 'solar kit', children can read and learn in the evening and the family is no longer dependent on flammable candles!
